no offence dude but what you are talking about is a different scenario as it is a member benefit to bring a guest..It just seems that Taxi is saying one thing and doing another...like letting a non member in the back door for $100...If how an organisation operates, that you pay money to join, is of no concern to you thats cool... personally I think thats a weird world...you know if I am wrong about this I hold my hands up.. maybe someone from Taxi could step up to the plate..I am just amused by the responses so far peaceAndrew

I doubt you'd get a much better explanation from Taxi themselves. Please also keep in mind this is the most hectic time of the year for them with last minute Rally prep, so they won't likely have time to babysit the forum...

We can agree to disagree there. No sense in getting into semantics, but it was you who brought up the "fairness doctrine" with your number totals. Having seen proof that a ticketed guest has no monetary advantage over a member guest, now you say Taxi is doing one thing and saying another by bringing non-members in the back door.I have enough experience with Taxi to know that this is a non issue. If Taxi fits within your plans to further your music goals, then why quibble over something like this. If Taxi doesn't fit your goals, that's fine too. They are one of the few that actually offer refunds if you are not satisfied. As much as you are amused by the responses, I am both amused and perplexed by the number of drive by accusers that build straw man scenarios to support their accusations. So you are a member that thinks this is wrong. Okay. I see the same numbers and scenario and have no problem with it whatsoever. To me this doesn't either help or hurt my chances of getting forwards and placements, so it's a non issue. That's the reason I'm a member. The rally is a great bonus, but I would be content to pay the same amount for Taxi services without it.Aub

(well, I HOPE so, anyway...)BTW, Andrew, this is the first posting ("response" is more accurate) where you don't come across as mostly argumentative. SO glad to see that. After reading all of your posts, I believed you were a smart guy, but you weren't explaining your position very clearly. Matt read through it, as he often does. He's amazing that way...If Matto couldn't get through to you, then no one could. He is the greatest, and he would NEVER lie about TAXI. OR music, for that matter. He's too Swiss (as Michael Laskow told me last year, at the Rally)... Which only means he's too honest...about the things he genuinely believes to matter. He will NEVER, EVER lie about anything pertaining to music. I can assure you of this, from personal experience. That's one of the biggest reasons I read every word he posts here on these boards.Sorry you can't be with us at the Rally this year. THIS year... <eg>Ted

Hey Ted,nice to hear from you...at the risk of sounding argumentative again if putting my point of view across and what I think about what people have replied is argumentative..so be it...I don't have a problem with that if it means getting to the answer..nobody on here has told me anything I did not already know... although they seem to presume I don't know the set up here... have no idea why that is ?? not being a smart ass here..just being honest with you..maybe I'll see you all at a Rally someday if I stick around..I guess this offer has just rubbed me up the wrong way so to speak...doesn't sit right.. and hey Aub, if it sits right with you thats cool... cheersAndrew
