Quote:I decided to take one of my returned songs and turn it into something a little more personal for Mother's Day. http://tinyurl.com/2otvx6I'm no video expert, but it was a fun effort and made the song a little more personal. That'll easily give you enough Brownie points to be able to forget a a future birthday, anniversary or two and still be in good shape. It's been a while since the kiddies were that age. Enjoy it. Our two boys are married with their own families and our daughter starts high school next year. It's all good.

Re: TAXI retake: Watching The Clouds Go By
I just listened to both versions. What an excellent song! If I ever got something like that song and video for Father's Day, well I'd turn into a puddle on the floor very quickly. Both vocals have merits, and both singers have created a very emotional connection to the song. It's funny, the first version sounds like a songwriting demo, and the second version sounds more like an artist demo. This is the benefit of extra time spent on a song, and allowing it to grow, whatever way the wind blows. Yes, the mix on the 2nd version seems much less polished, but the sound is a lot bigger. But what the hell do I really know? I know that when I hear a song twice, by 2 different singers, it has considerably more weight in my mind. My objectivity is lost because the song is becoming a hit, in my mind. Great song, excellent collaborating. If you get around to polishing up the second version, I'd love to compare them again. When will you tell us who the mystery singer is?
