I really like the mood on this one. Love the contrast of the chorus section. I don't think you need to add any more brighter instruments though, - At least if it's going to be a relaxing, healing type track. In which case I'd opt to give it a more "wavey" rythm, perhaps giving it a half tempo, and accentuating every third beat.IMHO, as it's only a draft, I'd say it could really go into any direction of your choice. Although the chord progression, together with current instrumentation "speaks" New Age, it could also turn into a popsong if you were to put a vocal line over it, and use different instrumentation.Sometimes, if I'm hammering out a melody, or a chord progression on the piano and find something useful, I usually begin at this early stage thinking what genre would best fit the idea. Then in the process of searching and trying out different sounds and loops, I notice a lot of other options that could take the song into other genres. Or at other times I finish the "production", listen to it a couple of days later and find that it was not the best dress, whereas I'd break it down and start over in another genre. What I want to say is, it's a great "universal" idea (although in it's uniqueness), so if this particular style doesn't work for you and the song you should try to break down the melodies and take it into other directions. Though I'm sure you already know this.To use an old cliché: The sky is the limit!
