Record Label Question

Post by burnthelamb » Thu Jun 01, 2006 1:50 pm

I was curious to find out, is a record label more likely to consider signing you if you are already on a small time, tiny label, or would they rather you be un-signed to keep from having to haggle with another label?I understand that being on some form of a label shows them that you have someone's attention, but I also see it being something where they may overlook you because of it. Opinions please.

My opinion is it's good to have any interest. A regional following of a live act and proof you're selling CD's always helps.Ern
