Re: Registration?
hey Kelly, dont worry darlin, you'll be in good hands with Erika, she''s done the rally for the last few years running, I presume you are travelling the same time as all the rest of us in Erika's crew fom the UK ?The registration starts late afternoon the day after we all arrive at the Westin and apparently the queue is a mile long whatever time you join it, its either you can stand at the front of it for hours, or tag onto the end of it when you see it dwindle ! but we'll all get registered one way or the other.I think the only thing that people want to get first in line for is that you cant book your mentor sessions till after you have registered, so I suppose basically Thursday is one helluva day for queues !I'm looking forward to meeting you, heard lots about you and love your music, oh and btw, has anyone told you before, you are a dead ringer for Kylie Minogue.luvJensen

Quote:I suppose basically Thursday is one helluva day for queues!Yeah pretty much. It's rather entertaining though and a good way to meet a bunch of people. You can usually move around a bit during the early hours before it starts moving and go say hi to people you might know (e.g. the "dotted" ones ). As long as you tell you queue neighbor to hold your place.(Tony check your PM's)

I think I'm repeating what Matto said but it's actually a lot of fun, you really get to know your line neighbors in the four or five hours you're sitting/standing/laying there. I even did a collaboration about a year afterward with a line neighbor I met at my first Rally in 2004.Once you register, sprint over to the mentor signups and take care of that. After that, stand there and noticeably chuckle at all the people in line that didn't get there early.

Registration starts at 5pm on Thursday, however, you can register *anytime* during the Rally if need be. Your choice of mentors may be minimal, that's all.

Re: Registration?
Quote:So really, stand in line all night Wednesday night or Thursday morning immediately upon waking up?Better start in line on Tuesday just to be safe. It's not THAT bad, just don't wait until 5pm to wander down figuring you'll just walk up, register, pick your favorite mentor and then be on your way. Kind of odd but the line is kind of the fun part.
