Renewal coming up , membership ends April 30.......

Thinking on this one......trying to thnk of a rationale for doing this a third year or longer. Obvious options are going it on my own which in large part I do it anyway and it's not like I've gotten tons of forwards or any direct contact from places I did get forwarded to. To dat the biggest value I have seen so far for what I use has come from the forums . Could make an argument for continued development of my composing skills, via Taxi TV. If it sounds like I'm complaining I'm not......just trying got figure out whether I should keep the membership going. Thoughts, experiences appreciated. Thanks.

I just renewed my membership. I called TAXI and renewed for 2 years(It's a better deal for 299$).
I definitely think it's worth staying onboard. I'm always looking forward to the listings, the RALLY!!!! Also the forum community and Taxi TV
I've been with TAXI for over four years and it's been a slooooowww climb but MAN! I see a HUGE difference in my songwriting and production.

That's the kind of thing I was hoping to hear. The gains in your skills....to me would be worth doing it for. ANd has been what I would consider the greatest benefit for me to date as well. So being engaged in the community and so on I should expect more of the same....I guess if there was a general consensus of folks who stuck around, are you experiencing the same?

I don't really understand why you started this thread. You had a lengthy discussion before on another thread about your frustration with returns. Michael then devoted a whole Taxi TV show to listening to your tracks and discussing what you could do to get more forwards and deals (if I recall correctly)...

At this point, I'm not sure what you hope to gain here. Renew or don't renew. But honestly I think the subject (in your situation) is beat to death already.

There is no nasty tone in this post so I hope it doesn't read that way.

If the forum is the only thing of value to you why pay for a membership since the forum is open to anyone?

If I didn't see a listing in my email, would I write as much material? Likely not. I could see my chops fading and my instruments getting pretty dusty ...

That said, it's incredibly frustrating to not get rewarded. I'm not talking about forwards either. I mean, REAL money to offset the 1,000's of hours invested. Any other craft would surely pay something. Why not this one?

Spoke with Taxi and the answer was a good one: Did you see any growth from your membership, and if so, from a growth perspective is one reason to re-up. Did you write more because of the listings ? Did you have any greater success in pursuing libraries on you own then you did submitting to Taxi.........

Shutting up about this now. Apparently as stated my decision to make and there doesn't seem to be any other answer than that. No more posts from me on this topic.
