Restring a microphone shock mount

I'm pushing to get the "most obscure question of the month award". Anyone ever restring a microphone shock mount? Got any tips? This is for my AT4050.

I figured out a solution. Instead of using the incredibly complicated original pattern all using one string, I'll use a bunch of rubber bands. Question solved. :idea:

I've heard tales of using Goody's Hair Ties, in a pinch. YMMV, :D

Ah! Even better, probably easier to find all black as well.
