Review the person who posted above you
This type of thread is very popular on other web sites. I was hoping we could get one started here in the TAXI forum. The way it works is you make a review of the member who posted above you. The next person will then review you because you posted last. Then someone else will review them. I'm sure you get the point. Please review only one song from the person above you, and only add "review" posts to this thread. Please don't jump in with any other posts because that messes up the review chain.I guess I am the first to be reviewed. My link is:www.taxi.com/timothysklughTimothy S. KlughGrove City, Ohio, USA

I don't know if I can do that Tim, mainly because I'm a bit random. I also can't critique rock songs or country... know nothing about 'em. I like dipping around and selecting unsuspecting posts meself. Maybe the rest of the forum will go with your idea though?Georgie

sigh... I feel the same... I'm really hoping Taxi 2.0 for the forums come up with separating genres or at least Instrumental with vocals or something to the extend of making it easier for us to know what we're reviewing... or getting reviewed...I don't think Ppl in the Country style are interested in what my review would be... I'm guessingLots of us specialize in certain types of music...I don't know man... ... sigh...

Re: Review the person who posted above you
Well it does work in other web sites. On the MySpace Musicians Exchange Group, we have three review threads that have ran successfully for years now. What makes it so different around here? You say you can't review certain genres. So don't post a review when someone in that genre has posted last. Just don't post a review unless you can give a true review to the previous poster.Aside from that, I'm trying to start a review chain on this thread. It's a good idea because you get chances to hear artists you may have never heard before. Let's try to keep this thread as a review thread.I am still the first to be reviewed:www.taxi.com/timothysklughTimothy S. KlughGrove City, Ohio, USA

hey timothy, sounds like a cool idea..sorry to delay this further, but, it seems like would it work better if you specified a particular song to be reviewed?

Re: Review the person who posted above you
On the other web sites that use Review Threads, they don't specify a song to be reviewed. The reviewer has the choice of song to review. Just pick a title and give it a listen. If you decide that you don't want to review that song, choose another. The only thing that is required is that you listen to the entire song that you review and then present something like the following example in your post:---TITLE: "Space Oddity"ARTIST: David Bowie (if he were the artist who posted above me)The intro of your work.... blah blah blah.Blah blah blah.... Blah blah... To conclude: an eccentric tune with a lot of potential.Timothy S. Klugh---That type of thing is appropriate, except with the blah's replaced by a meaningful review. If you folks are not familiar with these review threads, you will find that they are very helpful in the following areas:1. Analysis of new material and informal review writing.2. Opportunity to hear new music and new artists.3. Exposure to your own music to your peers.4. Networking with your peers and establishing relationships. All around, review threads (such as this review chain I am trying to start) are good for everyone involved. All we need is someone to make the first review to start the chain. Here is the link to my songs. www.taxi.com/timothysklughPlease choose one of my songs and make a review. From there, please make a review of a song of the artist who posted last.Timothy S. KlughGrove City, Ohio, USA
