Oh God. There was a second page I was missing. I was at the right place all along.I've go to go play a wedding right now - driving through DC rush hour, in the rain. At least I'll go laughing.I WISH I could turn the car around

Tuba, a very beautiful instrument is not known to invoke deep states of relaxation (maybe there are some people...) the flute I am using very much does.Your comment is irrelevant and spiteful, sorry.Dude, chill. Maybe you need to listen to some Andean flute relaxation music or something. If you only want to vent and don't want any help, maybe this forum is the wrong place. Put it on the screener shoutouts. No one is likely post any replies trying to help you on that one. People on here are usually trying to help you find an answer to your frustration. We all have that at times. I certainly don't understand the returns always. I have had glowing critiques on returned submissions that seemed to be perfect fits to me. Sometimes the reviewers do seem clueless. It happens. But, there is no appeal system, so I just keep submitting and enjoy the ones that are forwards. Better luck!Wodinlord

Wow, I'm amazed and impressed by the tact and patience shown by the forum members in response to Franz's nasty rants. There is much I still have to learn about the music business and about life, but one thing I'm pretty sure of is this: Those in positions of authority to hire generally don't like working with difficult people who fly off the handle with no provocation and who immediately blame and attack others when they don't get their way. Talent is always a good thing, but people skills go a long way. Richard

Meh! I thought the listing was pretty clear in what it wanted and I think the reviewer was clear, as well. I had no trouble understanding what they meant. Andean flute, in a non-Western tuning, is pretty much 'stuck like Chuck' in it's own little ethnic niche. Great for World listings that call for this type of music, I'm sure.WHICH brings me to my next point: I use a lot of Chinese instruments in my music. So I don't get stuck in a corner, I change the instruments to Western tuning, where possible. Let's me do the fusion bit quite nicely. If you're going to play an instrument that can't be re-tuned, be prepared for major stumbling blocks or try tuning the other instruments in your ensemble to match. In this business, you can pout, moan, and toss your name around all day but your musical outuput always takes a front seat to who you are. The business doesn't change for you, you have to change FOR IT!I don't even know who half of these TAXI members are and I was cringing reading the tart responses they were getting while only trying to be helpful. End-o-rant...

So much for the "5-year plan".
