Rock Songs; need help with classification

Post by jpodernheim » Mon Nov 29, 2010 3:12 am

I've uploaded new songs at:
http://www.taxi.com/sevendegrees

I'd like help on classifying those songs, to pitch them to the right listing.

any comments appreciated,

j.p.

Hey, JP

Well, it's definitely punk in my book (I'm British). It has all the right riffs and motifs and the right kind of production too (except the vocals could come up, imo). I personally think you have a really good thing going here. My only concern, being an old bastard, is the way some of the words scan over the rhythms – they are often not conforming to the rhythms of natural speech, which to me feels a bit clumsy. But that's a minor thing, which I think maybe you are doing in punkish irony...(?)

Keep up the good work.

Nick
