Rock Trio Panning for tv cues?
What is the recommendation for panning a typical guitar, bass, drums rock trio for tv cue usage? Should bass/guitar be centered or spread slightly L/R?

You can do that Cream/Who Live-at-Leeds/first two Van Halen records thing, as long as you check that the balance is still pleasant in glorious mono. You might have noticed that those bands thend to have nore top on the bass and more bottom on the guitar to begin with, so it's not too much hassle. Usually, I opt for stereo drums and guitar with kick, snare and bass straight up the middle.
