rockin gritty?

The Music Supervisor for these shows needs to hear a variety of"gritty rock" - styles can range from Rockabilly, Punk, Swamp Rock, Metal,Southern Rock, etc. The pace needs to be fast and the tone should bewacky, high energy, dirty and fun. You can think in the reference range ofBlack Flag, Hank Williams III, Suicidal Tendencies, Reverend Horton Heat,Social Distortion, Minutemen, etc. Songs with vocals and instrumentalswill be considered - be sure the tempos are fast and the vibe is grittyand "down & dirty". There are no lyrical restrictions here, but the toneshould match that of the music - instrumentals are okay too. You can alsothink along the lines of the music behind "Jackass", for more directionand inspiration. -------------}

I'm not the expert on listings-targetting...but I like this tune, and it matches my heavier moods. That guitar solo sounds like it's being played in another dimension though, but that might fit the genre, so don't mind me Nice pic bro!

Hey Geoff... really nice! I like this track a lot.This *could* fit the listing... but to me the listing is really targeting something like Southern Culture on the Skids or Reverend Horton Heat.... something a little more rooted in southern rock. That's how I read it anyway.Though, really... this COULD fit. I would contact Taxi with style questions before submitting just to cover your butt.Cheers!

I think maybe this could fit for the "metal" ala portion of the listing, but not for the others, I really think they're looking for more of the tracks like zoom mentioned ( the "Jackass" reference kind of gives it away) . Good solid production though, and it is gritty . . . go with your gut (and your wallet!) -

I've met a few folks (myself included) that grew up with country, did the rock thing, and now appreciate both. (heck, I've opened my heart to ambient because of you as well...I guess I'm a music-$lut )But no matter what hat you're wearing, there's always something about a 4x12 cab that makes that gain control seem so...easy?
