Sad piano forward

Post by HenriettaAtkin » Wed Nov 08, 2017 8:49 pm

Hello all,

I wrote this one for a piano listing way back when, and I'm delighted it's being forwarded for this listing!

One of the a las was Yirumo, and I actually submitted a more ambient Yirumo-style version to the screeners than what you hear on Soundcloud.

SAD, PIANO-Based INSTRUMENTAL CUES are U-R-G-E-N-T-L-Y needed by a successful, globally distributed Music Library that has a great track record of cool placements in Films, TV shows, and TV Commercials. They’re looking for Down-to-Mid Tempo Instrumental Cues in the general stylistic ballpark these references: “EMOTIONAL AUDITIONS (starting at 0:00 to 0:25): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdASrSBndC8 Undercover Boss: (starting at 12:28 to 1:12): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Fl-VISa3zo Extreme Makeover: (starting at 1:15 to 3:00) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nMrFh-RJMA Give them well-crafted Piano-based Instrumental Cues that are well-performed from start to finish and evokes an heartrending vibe and feeling. Build your Cue around a chord progression that expresses deep emotion, combined with a central melodic line that instantly tugs at the listener’s heartstrings. If you’re using a sampled/virtual Piano, be sure that it sounds indistinguishable from the real thing! Anything that is obviously synthetic or MIDI-driven won’t work for this pitch NOTE: Your Instrumental Cues can have some minimal instrumentation as well, e.g.: clarinet, violin, cello etc., but your overall submission should be built around the Piano. All submissions should be at least 2 minutes long. Good edit points and non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings will work best for this pitch. Please do not copy the referenced music in any way, shape, or form. Use it only as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed (Great sounding home recordings are fine). This Library offers an EXCLUSIVE, 50/50 split. You’ll get 50% of any sync fees and 100% of the Writer’s share. They’ll get 50% of the sync fee and 100% of the Publisher’s share. You must own or control your Master and Composition to submit to this pitch. Please submit as many Instrumental Cues as you’d like online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a yes/no basis – Short critiques only. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Thursday, October 26th, 2017. TAXI #U171026SP
