Satellites: curious to know what others think...

Post by orion » Wed Dec 11, 2013 11:28 am

I'm working on a collaboration with another TAXI member called Satellites. I'd be grateful for any feedback from the TAXI forum talent pool:

I'm especially interested in thoughts about production, mixing and arrangement. But, of course, any other feedback is welcome.

Thanks in advance, all!

Cheers

Awesome track!!!
Reminded me of a Kings of Leon vibe.
IMHO the rhythm of the chorus should be changed. It was too big of a contrast from the verse.
I'd say go for a more half-time Epic feel for the chorus. If not, reverse it and make the verse more upbeat to match the chorus.
The bridge is really nice.
May be worth spending $20 on a custom critique for direction on this one, as it has some great potential.

@andygabrys -- thanks!

@pedrocosta--both good ideas. We'll definitely play around with those. Thanks. The paid critique may be worth it, also.

I think its excellent. Quirky and commercial at the same time. Only comments i would make would be subjective so no need really. Good work.

I liked it.

I think the difference between the verse and chorus works and it's got a nice bridge. It gives the song three distinct sections that all work together well, which is hard to do.

It doesn't matter how we start, it's how we end. I like that.

Real good work, Orion.

Some elements are not to my personal taste... but that's just personal taste and has nothing to do with the song.

This is very good. Overall I give this two thumbs up!
