Hi Ashley - it's helpful if you can post lyrics too. I'm assuming you mean song pitch. If You Don't Love Her - sounds like a good pop song. This isn't my genre, but I would think it might be a good fit for A/C or Singer/songwriter, maybe also alt rock, at least from listening to the music. There's a buzz in the recording about 3:30 or so... not sure if that's my speakers or something in the track. Unpredictable - I listened to it, nice groove. Again, not my genre, seems pop/rock-ish. Youthful vibe. The vocals on both are spot on.HTH

Good music here Ashley!First song sounds singer/songwriter - sort of like Bonnie Raitt in approach, perhaps Lucinda Williams.Second song - sounds a bit edgier - especially with the guitar part/lead...sort of has elements of a female Dave Matthews

Hey Ashley, you have an amazing voice! I enjoyed listening to your tunes, im diggin' the funky vibes and soulfulness in your voice.Singer/Songwriter - Pop but "unpredictable" could be flexible with the funky/almost reggae/rock vibes happening

A very wise person suggested I post the lyric to my songs.. so here they are:www.taxi.com/arosemusicUNPREDICTABLEVerse:Dig my toes down in the sandI'm another day old and my life ain't planned.Toss a penny in my hand and pray it'll just face up.Wait around for a sign to showthat my life will lead some tale untold. But I got 25 cents and a wrapper in my pocketChorus:Where to go? I said where to go from here?Things seem so unclearand i don't know which way to gothe world seems so unknown.Unpredictable, unpredictable. Verse 2:When life's too hard to understandI drift away to some far off land.Find a four leaf clover andI pray it'll bring me luck. But that ain't how the story goesfairy tales ain't real I know. But when you have a bad day imagination makes it better.Chorus:Where to go? I said where to go from here?Things seem so unclearand i don't know which way to gothe world seems so unknown.Unpredictable, unpredictable. INSTRUMENTAL BRIDGEVerse 3:Dig my toes down in the sandI'm another day old and my life ain't planned.Toss a penny in my hand and pray it'll just face up.Wait around for a sign to showthat my life will lead some tale untold. But I got 25 cents and a wrapper in my pocket.Chorus:Where to go? I said where to go? Where to go? I said, where to go from here?Things seem so unclearand i don't know which way to gothe world seems so unknown.Unpredictable, unpredictable. Unpredictable, unpredictable.IF YOU DON'T LOVE HERVerse:And I want to believe youbut you won't give me reason to.When I ask you to let her go,that's the hardest thing for you to do.You're holding my head under watertrying to drown the pain from my eyes.Is it too hard to see the tears you make me cry?And i just wanna know...Chorus:What you keeping her around forIf you don't love her anymore? Can't you see it's crushin' me?And i won't tell you what to docause that won't make you see the truth, that it's killin' me. It's killin' me. Verse 2:And this game just isn't fair to mebut you don't seem to care at all.If I said that I was happyit just hurts too much and I was wrong.A part of me dies insideeach time i hear her name on your lips. And i just can't help but wonder if it's more than this.Is there something I don't know?Chorus:What you keeping her around forIf you don't love her anymore? Can't you see it's crushin' me?And i won't tell you what to docause that won't make you see the truth, that it's killin' me. It's killin' me. Bridge:I found the letters that she wrote to you-uncovered things I've always known. And I'm not hearing you deny that it's true.Do you run to her when you're leavin' me all alone? But i already know...Chorus:What you keeping her around forIf you don't love her anymore? Can't you see it's crushin' me?And i won't tell you what to docause that won't make you see the truth, that it's killin' me. It's killin' me. And i want to believe you

Saw you on TV! Did you get to meet LD Miller? (he's kind of a big deal around my hometown-Lafayette, IN) If You don't Love Her sounds like singer/songwriter or AC, Unpredictable is straight ahead pop, but could be submitted for rock or funk. Good luck with the new CD!

"Toss a penny in my hand and pray it'll just face up" LOVE IT!!!I really like your music. Vocals are amazing.Others have suggested A/C and Pop, but I can also hear this as progressive/alternative country. Do what you do- we like it.My only (small) nit is with the pronunciation of the word "unpredictable..." I'm hearing "unpredictible" (short i sound in place of a).Again, GREAT STUFF!Derek

Nice work, I feel like the way its mixed is kinda bright for my taste. The guitar is bit forward for how predictable and simple it is. The bass line is a nice addition but also feels a bit forward in the mix, would make a better subtle addition IMO. Your voice is very nice, maybe another mixing technique would change the vibes of the song. I feel that it needs some kind of percussive element to move the song along and build it up. I would love to make a glitchy trip hop beat over some of your work if you are interested. www.myspace.com/dadtakevcrlet me know
