Sennheiser PXC 300 Headphones

Post by davewalton » Fri Feb 01, 2008 11:27 am

Hi,I just received my new headphones, Sennheiser PXC 300. My main goals were: Comfort Noise Cancellation Sound qualityPretty much in that order but not a huge difference in preferrence between the first and the last. Other reviews compared them to the $350 Bose headphones and at ~$120 from the right discount place these seemed like a pretty good deal. For comfort I'd give these an OK to Pretty Good. Comfortable but not invisible-feeling like I was hoping. Maybe I have an extra-wide head or something (probably to accommodate all that music processing power ) but a lot of headphones fit like a vise on my head. For noise-canceling I'd give these an "excellent". Most everything disappears. Haven't ridden on a jet with them yet (jet is in the shop... anyone remember Harold?). For sound quality, I'd also give them an excellent. They're maybe a little crisp on the high end but everything is killer including the bass and there is, amazingly, no muddiness. Retailed for $200+, I found them here for $119. They shipped right away, took just a couple of days from purchase to delivery.http://www.gosale.com/4430487/sennheise ... drATfPwYou should see the Amazon link for $119 at the top.And no, I'm not a paid spokesmodel for Sennheiser or Amazon.

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!
