Session On Sunday

Post by crs7string » Sun Oct 30, 2011 4:42 pm

I will be doing a seesion on Sunday afternoon entitled "Building A Catalog Is A Marathon, Not A Sprint"

Success in production music is a journey, and staying focused and motivated to stay the course can be challenging at times.

We'll be discussing thoughts and ideas to keep on track and build a solid business over time.

For those who attended last year, I'll have around 30% new material.

Sweetwater has been gracious again this year to provide some door prizes.

Hope to see you next Sunday.

Can't wait to see everyone in a few days.

Sorry I missed it, Chuck; maybe next year, as I'd love to hear it. It was great meeting and hanging with you!

I really enjoyed your presentation this year, Chuck -- as I did last year's. I hope you present again next year!

Chuck, I'm so glad I made it to your session this year. Despite the occasional squiggles, I can read my notes just fine  and I will refer to them in the future.

Chuck,

I really enjoyed the class that you put together for the Road Rally. You presented a wealth of material in a short period of time that was not only extremely informative, but fun and entertaining as well. I especially liked your insights about increasing productivity within the constraints of a busy schedule.

I think the “Building a Catalog is a Marathon, Not a Sprint” presentation would make an excellent episode for TAXI TV!

Thanks again!

It really was an extremely helpful presentation, and I'm very glad to have met you! If I could suggest alliterative alternate titles, you could just as easily call this "Motivation for Musicians" or "Productivity for Procrastinators." ;)

I think it's very telling that the audience was a veritable who's who of successful Taxi members. It's just too bad that you were once again booked against the (also excellent!) Five Year Plan presentation. I went to that one last year, and these two sessions would be such a powerhouse if they were back-to-back rather than head-to-head!

Thanks for your nice comments.

@ Brian, great to meet you and spend some time together at the Rally. Our dinner and a show the last night was a hoot.

@ Jonathan, thanks for attending my little deal. Glad you found some of the ideas to be helpful.

@ bete, "zzzzz ". "zzzzz". "zzzzz"

@ suz, having your smiling face in the front row was much better than visualizing the audience naked :D

@ casey, thanks for attending, we got to the good stuff after you snuck out the back door :D
