showin' my grin

Post by silvercord » Sun Mar 15, 2009 5:48 pm

Hi fellow friends!Well just a bit more than a year after I came intothe taxi community and started to submit music for listings, I feelI have obtained the next level in getting my music 'out there':)I have recently signed contracts with 2 different music libraries from the help of taxi forwards, advice from good friends here and thus taking that advice and applying it. I have also been colabing (proudly) with great musicians hereon the taxi board! That's actually my biggest pleasure, to expand my musical/production boundaries and do so with others. What comes out of this is something money alone CAN NOT buy.I came into my taxi membership not with a pessimist's view norwith an overly optimistic stance...I came in wide-eyed and willing(for the 1st time in my life) to learn. To listen more than speak.I have tons more to learn..and that feels pretty good. It just feels good to have that bit of validation that can fuel oneto continue on the path~peace all!geoff

Well said Geoff. It is important to get some validation, even if it's a forward or a single song deal.I know when I first started out with my buddy Matt years ago, those little victories kept our spirits up as we made our way in this biz.Congrats on the deals! There will be more and sooner or later there will be placements. Keep on writing and moving forward and may the wind be at your back!Best,Cisko

Congrats Geoff! I'm glad to hear it's working out for you. Nothing like a deal to show you you're on the right path!
