signed my first song to a library!
I've been a taxi member for about a year and a half and I just signed "show me" (on my taxi page) to a library from a recent taxi forward.
Its a huge milestone for me because I've been an underground hip hop artist for almost 20 years now. And the one time I try something different, and "a la pitbull" is something very very different from the hip hop I used to do, it gets forwarded and signed. This same track also put my foot in the door of another publisher (not via taxi though) , for whom I'm currently writing a couple exclusive tracks for.
Until now, I've gotten forwards every so often, mainly for instrumentals, but no callbacks yet for any of them.
Anywho, my point is if it weren't for taxi, I probably would've never tried to make something "a la pitbull", now that I have and see there's some demand for it, its opened my eyes and given new life to all the hard work I put in as an underground rapper.
And to think I was coming to terms with letting go of being a hip hop vocalist when I started my pursuit to be a composer.
Cheers!
Owen

Congratulations Owen! Great to hear about your success! Sounds like you are starting to travel a different road than you were on before but the fact that you are already seeing positive results is cause for celebration.

Congrats! Very cool track! I would imagine the instrumental version of this (or something similar) would find it's way on TV, too. Keep it up!

Thanks, guys!
I haven't felt this invigorated to make music since I bought my first 4 track! Which is, well, a rather long time ago.
