Signed writing/production deal!!!

Post by nycoach » Wed Oct 22, 2008 6:36 am

2 days ago I signed a writing/production deal, that is truly an exciting deal for me. I have been on tour for this entire year, and we are getting ready to wrap things up in a few weeks, and this happened at the perfect time! This is a NON Taxi deal, and to be honest, I've had virtually no luck with all of my forwards through Taxi, which I'm still kind of confused by, BUT, Taxi did play a hand in this, because it kept me writing and recording, even when I didn't feel like it, and it gave me something else to shoot for. I've been submitting all year long to Taxi, and I can't tell you how much it helps to have Taxi "listing results" waiting in my inbox every once in a while. When you're on tour, playing other peoples music day in and day out, Taxi has truly kept things in perspective, that there IS light at the end of the tunnel, and that when I'm home and back in the studio, I have ALOT of work to do! Even with this deal, I'm going to stick with Taxi, and maybe one day I'll actually have some luck WITH Taxi!

That's a great post, there, coach. Great news. AND great attitude. TAXI works in mysterious ways...but it WORKS on so many differing levels. Way to go.Congratulations.Ted

With a huge list of Taxi opps. staring you in the face, there's usually something there to get you motivated.Of course, there's more to being a successful songwriter than just writing great songs...but that's sure a big part! Congrats on the gig, BTW.André
