Mer - that is the greatest compliment for me - that the tune sticks in your head. However, I do hope it dislodges evenutally. I hate to have you hate me forever! Devin - the key were midi in the verses and loops in the solos... meticulously cut & pasting little snippets and phrases -- tedious, but fun since that's mostly what a lot of jazz improve is anyway!

Darn day gig gets in the way, ya know. But Taxi keeps me motivated and striving to learn and improve my craft - especially the recording chops. So over the weekend I hunkered down, brought a sax-playing buddy over and got a couple of tunes down. One of 'em got forwarded. The song title is "Funk Schwa" -- the changes are just a bit "off" from a standard 1-4-5, which is all very un Fung Shui, of course. Next question... how do I paste in a link direct to the tune, so y'all can hear it.??http://www.taximusic.com/hosting/home.p ... anleyMGood job.I got forwarded on this too.The company that it was forwarded too has a connection to Muzak and supplies music for them.He takes direct submissions. Would you like to collaborate on a few? it seems he wants very commercial stuff. Here is one of my forwarded on thathttp://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_id=1308 ... am=trueBut i think both yours and mine are not commercial enough for him. So would you like to make some with me? I'll work up the basic tracks and melody and send it to you.I can do the keys and drum programing if you can do the guitars. I have Trilogy or I know a world class bass player that played on my stuff. byw, I live in Anaheim. I go out to Torrance all the time.
