So am I too suspicious of these forwards?
My forwards have come last year and this year after I get notification that my subscription is due soon. Also, two songs were the same songs forwarded to the same company... Has anyone else had this happen? Why would the same songs be forwarded again? Thanks.Bruce

They have no access to membership info. It's just the song and an online sheet (the critique thing we see) and that's it. They listen to the music and fill out the critique sheet. Regarding the songs... each listing is separate in and of itself. It's not connected to anything you've done before so if you see a listing that has the same wording from a previous listing (and they almost always use the same wording for additional listings), send different music. That's up to you to keep track of. This happens outside of Taxi too where places are looking for music... they won't keep track of your submissions for you so it's good practice to start doing it here. An example was the European Spa Meditative Music listing. Since 2004 I've seen that listing several times. They've done deals with Taxi members before and continue to run their listing periodically when they're looking for new music. That's good for us. Anyway, a year or so from now you'll probably see the listing again. It's easy to recognize and new music is ALWAYS in demand. Just keep track of stuff and try not to send the same music to the same listings. HTH,DavePS - No conspiracy.

I don't know, Dave. I could've sworn I saw little green men landing in the Taxi offices . . . BwaAHAHAHAHAH![cue X Files music . . . ]Seriously, though, Bruce, it's always good to ask questions if things feel odd. As you can tell by Dave's answer, Taxi has a great deal of integrity. Here's hoping your forwards turn into deals!!Best regards,Suz

Thank you both. I appreciate the response and I didn't know how the screeners work. I also think it would be nice if there was some form of contact that the material was sent but I understand the "certificate" is the best they can do at this point. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but am always skeptical!! Keeping track of listings is a job in itself and I have a little Filemaker Pro database set up that helps a lot in that regard.Regards,Bruce
