If you're a fan of movies that are so bad they're good, have I got a gem for you!Last night on TCM, "Don't Knock The Twist" (1962) was broadcast in all its glory. It "starred" Chubby Checker and had Gene Chandler do his "Duke Of Earl" schtick. It's jaw-droppingly bad. My mouth was literally open in disbelief to the acting and dance scenes. The lip-syncing is the worst you'll ever see in your lifetime. Highly recommended! Ern

I've got one or two from right now that are horrible. Of course some people do disagree, I just cannot figure out how. But these are the kind that are so bad you can't even laugh at them. Try Syriana and Ocean's Twelve on for size.

You know, I kinda liked Syriana, but I agree it was a confusing mess --- I heard the cast "phoned in" Ocean's Twelve, but I haven't seen it.Then there's Ed Wood's movies --- Ern

Re: "So Bad It's Good" Movie
A confusing mess is about right IMO. With many bad movies you can plainly see that editing was the problem. One that got trashed years ago by the critics but which I loved was Heaven's Gate. I thought the music was very authentic. I noticed that Jerry Magee (sp.) was among the performers. He took over for Noki Edwards of the ventures when he semi-retired.On the positive side I really enjoyed Hard Candy. There was another one a year or two back that I liked a lot. I believe the title was Spun. It was about the meth culture in LA. Very realistic but odd also. When the geeters took their hits, suddenly the screen would go cartoonland for a bit and you would hear the Ka-ching of cash registers. Even the cops were on the stuff and they would toot up before a bust. One of my all time favorites is Sling Blade. Also a big fan of courtroom movies, my favorite of that ilk being Inherit the Wind.Also:1. The Heart is a Lonely Hunter2. Lonely Are the Brave3. Last Train to Gun Hill4. Nine Hours to Rama5. The Bedford Incident6. Little Big Man7. The Predator8. This Property is Condemned9. Cat On a Hot Tin Roof10. In the Heat of the Night11. To Kill a Mockingbird12. Treasure of the Sierra Madre13. Citizen Kane14. Lord of the Rings trilogy15. Saving Private Ryan16. The Shining17. Giant18. On the Waterfront19. Cool Hand Luke20. The PromiseWell, sorry about getting carried, but you know I need the posts. My mother managed a theatre all through my childhood so I saw virtually every change for a decade or more. After that I never stopped watching movies. I don't know how many thousands I have seen or how many great ones I have left out.Happy New Year!
