I got a forward today for a SOLO FLUTE INSTRUMENTAL. Here's the listing and a link to my track:

SOLO FLUTE INSTRUMENTALS in a very wide range of Styles, Tempos and Moods are needed by a really large media company for placements in TV shows and online media. This rapidly growing industry giant is building its own Exclusive, In-House Music Library and will pay an initial buyout fee of $250 for 100% of the Composition and Master rights. On top of the buyout fee, you will also keep 100% of the Writer’s share of the publishing and make applicable performance income. They’re looking for Solo Flute Instrumentals in just about any style you can think of (within reason) and in All Tempos: Classical (aka Western flute), Peruvian Pan Flute, Chinese flute, Japanese flute, Arabian flute, Irish flute, African flute, Native American flute… you name it! If you had a TV scene about the long workdays of Peruvian coca farmers, what music would you put in it? If you had a travelogue scene showing a highbrow Viennese museum, what might you expect to hear in that? If you had a sunset scene on the Yantze River, what would you hear? You get the idea! You could create several different moods with the same flute. A Classical flute could play Classical music at George Washington’s birthday party or a raucous Rock solo like Ian Anderson would have played on Aqualung. A Japanese flute could play a light, emotionally upbeat piece that could work with visuals of cherry blossoms or a sad, legato piece in a scene about the death of a legendary samurai warrior. Again, you get the idea! Any genre could potentially work, and any mood and tempo within that genre could also work. Stick to one melodic idea within each piece. Don’t try to score an entire film, just give them one idea that would work in one scene! Think mood, emotion, authenticity, and more often than not, simplicity! TAXI Tip: Title your Instrumental in a way that tells the person choosing the music for the TV show or film what it sounds like: Peruvian Wonder Flute, The Melancholy Samurai’s Flute, Snooty Flutie, Agualungz Rocks, etc. Don’t assume your flute pieces will be on a list of only flute pieces when they’re on an editor’s hard drive! All submissions should be about 2:00 minutes long with good edit points (when possible) and Non-Faded/natural endings. You can try your flutes steeped in reverb, looped with repeating delays, or bone dry – experiment! Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). If you’re using Virtual Instruments, they need to sound real and not MIDI-driven or “synth-y.” This Exclusive, In-House Library will pay an initial buyout fee of $250 for 100% of the Composition and Master rights. On top of the per track fee, you will also keep 100% of the Writer’s share of the publishing and make applicable performance income. This Library offers an EXCLUSIVE deal, so the music you submit for this pitch CANNOT be signed with any other publishers or catalogs. Please submit 1-3 Instrumentals Online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a yes/no basis and must be received no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Friday, October 7th, 2016. TAXI #Y161007SF
