Folks in here know me as Walter327. My name is Walter Comer, and I'm looking for some honest help. I'm quite blessed in the lyric writing area. My problem lies in the actual construction of the songs, ie good bridges, lack of cliches, decent guitar playing, good hooks. I've been playing guitar for over 11 years now, and this is as good as I've gotten. If you go over to http://www.garageband.com/artist/walterwcomer, then click on kwcomer's garage you'll get an idea of my strengths and problems. I'd really like to get this gift out there. I just, obviously, need some help. I am certainly willing to work out a contract with someone when any song finds its wings and takes off.By the way, "In America" was recorded live in a conference room with an audience. So, it is a bit muffled and cut to silence applause. My E-Mail is kwcomer@netzero.com.Thanks.

Re: Songs waiting for wings
Walter, I read your post in peer to peer and had to go find your site. I just listened to "The Gift" The vocals and guitar picking are very nice...I like them the way they are...However, I did notice that there was not a noticable difference between the verse and chorus. One suggestion would be to add a strumming guitar in the chorus and if you have a bass guit or percussion inst. add it as well. These are things you could do without having to change the arrangement...you're just adding to what you already have. You might also consider adding a harmomy vocal in the chorus...I'm very big on doing that, and since this is "shameless Self Promotion" here is my web site so you can see what I'm talking about as far as adding harmonies to my vocals. www.myspace.com/cliffgundersenI do agree with you..it does seem that people will look at the post and not take the time to give the feedback...and I have been guilty of that myself. I hope this helps. I will listen to some of your other songs and post about them as well. I will post this in the peer to peer as well. Take care. Cliff Gundersen
