Gidday guys, my name is Phil I am from Australia and I'm new to the taxi forum. I am a songwriter (lyrics) I don't play any instruments,but I do sing a bit.I have had 2 demo's done by Majestic Records (USA), signed 2 publishing contracts with them, and i am also a staff writer.I have so far had good interest from both here and overseas but nothing concrete yet. I have many completed song lyrics, mainly pop /rock /ballads/personal and country.My reason for writting today is to find out if any bands or solo artists are looking for any new original songs,or specific types of songs for upcoming projects e.g.... Companies like the one you mentioned which set lyrics to music and offer publishing contracts are usually not legit. They tend to be 'song sharks' that prey on the hopes and dreams of innocent songwriters.

If you write lyrics only, the best thing to do is find a true collaborator who can help put your words to music as your co-writer.

My suggestion is stay away from those companies-- don't give them another penny.
