ello...Here is a tune for the tailgaters out there. All comments are welcomed.http://www.taximusic.com/stream/205558/ ... r.mp3Speed Racer – Carlos M GomezSpeedyGeez Studios 2008Speed Racer the tailgate chaser in a two ton suicide car.You got shifting sanity and no humanity, souped up ego that’s all.You try to put a twenty foot car in a ten foot space at highway speeds you rely on grace and that my reaction time will outpace your desire to meet your maker.Super-Tard. Go ahead push it around you’re in charge this is your town.Super-Tard. Go ahead and flip me off minimize me you’re the boss.Super-Tard. Go ahead push it around you’re in charge this is your townThat’s o.k. I got your tag and live to shoot you another day.Somewhere in your tube roll cage you are safe to keep your rage.Armor from a battle tank, I didn’t know Beemers have steel plate. No we can’t all get along you think I’m too weak and you’re too strong. If I don’t stop and let you in you will bash my fender in.Got no time to sit in line you just force your way in.Super-Tard. Go ahead wheel it in you’re a God and that’s no sin.Super-Tard. Go ahead scream and shout and let me hear what you’re about.Super-Tard. Go ahead stare me down you’re in charge this is your townThat’s o.k. I got your tag I’ll live to shoot you another day.Racer man I’m still your fan amazed at how you move.Racer girl you are my pearl. I know you think I’m rude. But, no we can’t all get along you think I’m too weak and you’re too strong. I got your tag I’ll live to shoot you another day.Speed Racer man I’m still your fan.Speed Racer girl you are my pearl.

Very very cute indeed... I like the use of delay fx especially at the outro parts ^_^-Kel

CarlosI really like this song! However, having read some of your reviews of other people's work here I think you have ears and can do better! You've even reviewed some of my stuff and boy did I learn from your comments! All of the playing is executed very well, no problems and it is a very creative song! You get applause for that. I listen to everyone's stuff in this forum on a very good set of headphones. Nothing in the mix sparkles. I would boost highs on just about everything in there. I was impressed in the first half of the song how things changed so much and really delivered some dynamics and listener interest. My overall impression of the second half is that it begins to sound a bit repetitious. I'm not sure that the vocal performance is strong enough in some parts enough to get a forward... I think all the vocal notes are there but you might add a bit of effects to those vocal lines to beef them up some. I'm guessing you sang the parts and you are doing better than I could have. But I think a screener would touch on the overall vocal performance in places.Overall, you have a great, strong, interesting tune. You just need to push it over the top!Good Luck!Keith

The lyrics & music are great. Production needs a little work, IMO, as per Keith. I really liked the vocals on the "Racerman" section. But overall the vocals need more edge... think punk, or old-style "Chantilly Lace". Lots of potential.

Well I have to admit that that I Boo-Boo beared the original tracks right after I cut this one down back in November. I had just finished writing and recording then I fubared it by overwriting the project instead of creating a dupe. This cut lacks all of the eq vamping. After that I rerecorded Two Yards Of Tard using all of my newly acquired techniques. This one has rerecord written all over it.@-Kel : I used a lot of 3/4 and 1/2 song bpm delay on the parts panned hard left and right. 3/4 to one side and 1/2 to the other. The piano is a two track stereo with 512ms sample delay on one track. The cool synth part during the "Racer Man" part is a patch played in combination with the pitch bar. The outro "Racer Man" voc is me singing while reducing my vocal amplitude all run through the 3/4 and 1/2 bpm effects. I sing: I'm still your fan-fan-fan@Keith: Thanks for the shout out. I'm glad that I could help your techniques with my critiques. BTW What cans are you using?@Hummingbird: The singing is real close to the best I can do. I find that I can rap pretty well but have some difficulties with sustained notes that wander. Ah well. I'm working on it.@geo: Thanks. I'm glad I can bring some levity to the party.@Dave: Thanks. I have been having a hoot writing this album.@ibanez468: This tune is for album 2009. Yards Of Tards. Its a concept album. So far I have Speed Racer, Two Yards Of Tard, Ya Ruined My Favorite Song and Worlds Wildest Tards.
