Spoke On a Timeless Wheel
Spoke On a Timeless WheelA new mom smiles through the glass from her wheelchairHer boy has his father’s eyes and her dark hairAnd that wondrous moment seemed to stand stillAs she saw life as a spoke on a timeless wheelAn ex-con cleans that hospital day in, day outBut seein’ that innocent child cures all his doubtsA little bad fortune don’t mean his fate is sealedHope can fix a broken spoke on a timeless wheelcos heaven may not always show us how or whybut we're all part of a circle older than the skyA doctor who gave some bad news stopped there todayCos when he sees them his sadness almost slips awayChildren take his mind off those he couldn’t healThey’re the youngest spokes on a timeless wheelAn old man wheels himself from the x-ray roomThe tears on his cheek know his time is soonBut he sees that newborn and feels heaven’s willHe knows all life is a spoke on a timeless wheelcos heaven may not always show us how or whybut we're all part of a circle older than the skyO a new mom looks through the glass from her wheelchairThat old man smiles and says he has her dark hairAnd that wondrous moment seemed to stand stillAs they saw life as a spoke on a timeless wheel…©2007 Robert George

GoodI'm not sure how this forum works. I am thoroughly enjoying your lyrics these days - only bothered to check the forum recently. Are they put to music or what's the story?Keep it up.Liam

hey Liam...I'm not sure how this forum works, either, lol. I was fortunate enough to have taxi give me this page to post my stuff on. I do have quite a few demoes of songs I've co-written. Here's a link...you might like Goodwill Coat, I Should Be So Lucky, It Rattles But It Rolls and Donuts In the Parking Lot. I'm kind of partial to Annabelle, too. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemus ... dID=431939

I've seen that you're an active member of the forums and a fairly regularly forwarded writer. That's cool. Congrats, man. (And FWIW, LOVE your username...)But speaking only for myself, does it occur to you that your monopolizing the first 5+ pages of this particular forum is a little overwhelming to the rest of us? Share the wealth, share the space, man.In peace and support,Ted

Re: Spoke On a Timeless Wheel
thanks ted. taxi gave this forum to me(my old username was couchgrouch) so I'm not monopolizing it. i might add that I'm eternally grateful to them as it serves as an on-line archive of my lyrics. When I lost the files on my old pc, I'd have been hurting if not for this site.
