Sports Instrumentals

Post by remmet » Wed Apr 29, 2009 8:59 am

Finally a Dispatch instrumental listing!SPORTS INSTRUMENTALS that range from NFL, NBA, Fox Sports, ESPN, etc. theme songs to Extreme Sports/X-Games tracks are needed by a Music Publisher for placement in film and TV. You can submit material in a wide range of approaches but the energy level must be high and the adrenaline behind the music must be current-sounding, compelling & marketable. Everything from high-energy/cutting edge Orchestral/Rock blends to Pop/Punk, Hard Rock or Electronica Instrumentals could work. Be sure that there are no uncleared samples included in your tracks. He's asked us to be extra selective in what we forward - he wants quality over quantity - so your performances must be excellent. He offers numerous types of publishing deals. Broadcast quality needed [excellent home recordings are OK]. Please submit one to three instrumentals online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than Noon (PST) on Tuesday, May 5, 2009. TAXI #D090505SIHere's what I submitted:Extreme Guitarwww.richardemmet.com/ExtremeGuitar.mp3Wiredhttp://www.richardemmet.com/Wired.mp3I don't know if Extreme Guitar is long enough, or if Wired is "sporty" enough. I guess I'll find out soon.Richard

Wired is a really fun track. It doesn't sound like anything I've heard used as Sports Underscore, but it would be cool!

Hi Richard,Another personal opinion......I think Extreme Guitar fits this listing considerably more than 'Wired' in style - 'Wired' sounds on the suspenseful side to me.....Rachel

Richard,Two great tunes. Very nice. I could see Extreme Guitar being used for the listing. There is an upcoming HIGH/UPTEMPO INVESTIGATIVE DRAMA INSTRUMENTALS TAXI # Y090512ID you might consider submitting Wired for.GB

Thanks everyone. I appreciate all your comments!Apr 30, 2009, 12:59am, mare wrote:yo RichardNice guitar solo, very well played. I recently redid the entire stereo mix (not having access to the original tracks). I processed the mix through a variety of plugins to beef up the sound.Richard
