now I'm completely stoked - the idea of getting new gear!!!!

I'm going to spring for the M-Audio/Digidesign box at the same time and found a great deal on ebay for a Mackie USB interface for ProTools... all I need now is a little baby mic-stand and I can record anywhere!!!

I recently picked up a Novation SL MkII after comparing it to the M-Audio 25 key controller. The Novation has a Fatar action which felt far superior to the M-Audio. The M felt clacky and plasticy and the Novation feels nice and smooth and "pro". It's a bit too big to fit in a laptop bag but the key feel is worth it.

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

it's not the gear, it's the ear!
