Nice studio, Allen! Wow, a REAL sitar and congas. That's CLASS! --- Are your monitors KRK V-8s?I'd LOVE to have a Vox amp. What model is that one?Ya know, I grew up in St. Joe, MI at the mouth of the St. Joseph River which runs right through South Bend, I believe. Isn't that where "South Bend" comes from --- a "bend" in that river? If you ever follow the St. Joe to its headwaters, it's a pretty long one. I think it starts in Hinsdale County SW of Detroit. Where it empties into Lake Michigan, it's pretty darn wide! I've actually waterskied on it where it separates St. Joe from Benton Harbor. --- Don't get me started on Benton Harbor, though! Ern

It takes practice to make good music with the real thing, but I'm getting there. You're almost right about the KRKs... These are just the regular Rokit 8s. I'm not very happy with their lack of clarity in the mids, probably because I need to raise & space them better for a flatter response. It's a satisfying modeling amp for the player because there's a valve placed in the power amp section of the circuit giving it that sag and soak of a real tube amp - all at low volumes for home use. For me, the inspiration comes from the touch factor, something lacking in the other virtual amps I've tried. I'm right with you on all these points (of local interest only, I guess ). Too bad for me you moved away: No chance for a jam unless you swing back this way to visit relatives. You have a good eye, Devin. The bamboo-based cable rack was fun and cheap to make. The bass-trap (aka spare bed) is never fun to make, though. As for that black round thing on the wall: that's only there because of my lame attempt to decorate the space, so please pay no attention to it: It is non-functional and irrelevant (LOL). Allen...Ern...sounds like your guys' Benton Harbor is like the whole "Thumb area" for me;)but damn i do miss my friends...and "dough balls"fried dough served with melted nacho cheese at the localbowling alley! sigh its the absence of small things (like artery clogging food) thatreally can bring a tear to your eye
