Suggestion: New Forum Department
I know many are at the Road Rally but since I'm at home working, I decided to add a little suggestion. With so many questions about the actual business side of music, it would seem appropriate to have a department titled This Music Business or Mind Your Own Business or something of the like. I don't know how many times that I've seen a ton of questions on copyrights, publishing, contracts, and they've been put in places that don't really seem to fit, like here in the General Hangout, or in the Songwriter's Nook, or somewhere else. I personally know how long it takes to actually set something up like that...all of three minutes max. Any time seeing this in the REAL near future?

Re: Suggestion: New Forum Department
Seems like a good suggestion prez!My experience is also that it's quick once someone is working on it...but sometimes the list of other projects are lined up before getting around to this one.But I can afford to be patient...because I can wait longer than you on "what to do about THE CALL"...haha...because you'll probably get called first! (If you haven't already!).
Earplugs may be required for anyone over the age of cool.

Sounds good. On the subject of semi-permanent threads, may I suggest another small addition - a bit more NEWBIE information concerning how to paste links into threads and how to put your picture into an "avatar" spot, (I still haven't worked that out). Bye, Michael

Putting Dave on list of clever Taxi dudes who make me laugh uproariously. And hey, Michael; if you press "quote" on an email that has a thing you'd like to copy (e.g. how to embed a graphic or a You Tube video), you'll see the magic code. The trick with posting a photo, graphic etc. is that most of them have to be on a web address to which you can link. Some people use Photobucket; others link to a graphic file in their web docs . . . e.g., I would put http://www.SuzDoyle.com/art/pixofme as the link address if I wanted to embed my photo in a post (and it may be the same process for the Avatar upload, if memory serves). In other new, I got your two CDs today and am looking forward to enjoying your music! ,Suz

Oops. Re: adding your avatar. In the "Modify Profile" area (under "view profile), you can post a link to your photo -- again, it has to have a web address. E.g. mine is: http://suzdoyle.com/art/suztaxi.jpg . . . I sized this graphic to fit, then popped it into my web site files, then linked to it using the above URL.Yep, I'm a nerd. ,Suz
