Sun, warmth and 2 forwards

Post by bleuciel » Mon Apr 21, 2008 11:06 am

The sun and warmth are back here in the north east and the day has a nice ending with 2 forwards. 2 of our French songs that we've wrote my friend Mike Goudreau and I (Mike wrote music and I wrote lyrics) were forwarded at a dispatch of last week. Hope you'll like these songs.YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FRENCH AND ITALIAN SONGS AND INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a high-profile Music Supervisor for a Major Network TV SERIES that revolves around the main character who suffers from amnesia, forcing her to find out who she really is. These songs will be playing in the cafe scenes, so should be appropriate as background to this scenario. Lyrics should be French or Italian and you should submit lyric sheets with translations, if the song has vocals. Instrumentals will be acceptable for this listing as well. The supervisor has requested that these songs have a “quirky” tone, so please stay away from any type of serious or dramatic vibe. These songs should sound light and pleasant, much like you would hear playing in a French or Italian street cafe. Instrumentation is open, but an authentic tone should be the focus. This is a broadcast quality listing, so be sure the recordings are great.T'as jamais dit: ''Jamais''http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... stream=1Le soleil a chassé la pluiehttp://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_id=122525&stream=1

Great pieces-- great work, guys! I love the upbeat feel of "Jamais", and the vocals are very swing and smooth-feeling on "Le soleil a chassé la pluie". Both of those tracks sound great for the cafe-feeling, and I'm putting my bets on them getting gobbled up by that music supervisor... Great work, Jean and Mike!! I don't speak a spit of French, but I know you were singing to me as I was sipping my chai at the corner cafe... I could hear you saying that the sun was out too, because that's what happens when you go to the cafe. Good luck to you both! Raags

Jean, you da KING of the street-side cafe sound! I can't wait to turn on the tube soon and fall out my chair, yelling "I know that guy! I know that guy!"
