Sunrise over Marina Del Rey

Post by Casey H » Tue Dec 05, 2006 5:11 am

Just woke up to sunrise over Marina Del Rey... Very pretty... I will only be here today for a quick biz meeting, but it's nice to see the pretty left coast! Maybe there is a song in this somewhere... Any of you live in this area? I am totally geographically challenged on the west coast... Casey

Maybe there is a song in this somewhere...Chances are that song has already been written... But yeah on beautiful days like we've been having recently (and they aren't exactly rare out here ) it isn't too hard to understand why everybody seems to be moving here . Which answers your question btw... matto

Hey Casey,How do you like the 2% humidity? From today's L.A. Times:A weather balloon above San Diego measured only 2% humidity, a reading normally reserved for places such as Death Valley. The region's average humidity for December afternoons is about 30% to 50%."These are some of the lowest humidities ever seen in the atmosphere," said Kelly Redmond, regional climatologist for the federal government's Desert Research Institute in Reno. "It's as dry as the air over the Antarctic."At least it's sunny here! Ern

I lived in LA for a year, circa '79. To quote a great man (or misquote), "If I done all the things they said I did, I sure musta had a ball!" I remember boring weather, pretty girls, and a never-ending supply of recreational pharmacuticals... In and out like a second-story man, I did the job and made my getaway. But when I checked the bag all it held was the mem'ry Of the sunrise over Marina del Rey.If there was a girl involved, the second verse would be easier. And more interesting.

Ah, cripes, someone beat us to it!Artist/Band: George Strait Lyrics for Song: Marina Del ReyLyrics for Album: Strait From The HeartWe said goodbye in Marina del Rey"I had a good time" was the last thing I heard her sayAs I walked awayAnd on the plane back to TennesseeMy mind comes across her memoryAnd yesterday in Marina del ReyOn a hidden beach under a golden sunShe spread a blanket that we laid down onAnd loved the world awayIn Marina del ReyAnd as we looked into each other's eyesWe found our bodies lost in paradiseLike castaways in Marina del ReyLike the ocean tides, highs and lowsLove sometimes comes and goes awayIn Marina del ReyAnd as this plane is touching downTears touch my eyes for I have foundMy heart has stayed in Marina del ReyOn a hidden beach under a golden sunShe spread a blanket that we laid down onAnd loved the world awayIn Marina del ReyAnd as we looked into each other's eyesWe found our bodies lost in paradiseLike castaways in Marina del ReyWe said goodbye in Marina del Rey...Ern
