Re: Superstar (Rock)..New Mix!!
Thanks Devin!!! I like your idea... I've drawn a blank so far.... concentrated on the remix but I wrote that down...Hi Guys...OK I tweaked the guitars to lose some bottom.... put some distortion on the bass... ( it's programmed, these fingers can only do so much )... lowered the vocals and rode the faders.... oh and brought the snare up.... also lowered the rim shot in the intro and put the kick in the count in.... to lose the click track feel.... I pushed up the high harmony in the last verse a bit but it's a little outa sync in places so couldn't go any higher...Hopefully I put all the good advice I got to good use!!!... just having a listen... snare a tad hot? Thanks again!!!Peace, Geo

Geo,Like the guitar sound--pretty in your face, but very effective. They overwhelmed the vocal a bit in the intro, tho. Snare sounds better to me. Think the lead/harmony vocal mix is better. You're getting really good at this production stuff!Vince

Re: Superstar (Rock)..New Mix!!
What I like about this tune (besides the Va-Jay-Jay line!) is the fact that it's unique - musically and lyrically. At first I didn't like the monotone melody line on the verse, but when attached to the chorus the verses work great - very effective.I really enjoy the mood and sound - great guitar tone. This has an early 80's vibe to me. Meaning it's a fun song to crank up.
