I echo that comment.

Guitar sounds good (actually really good).

I'd change the drums out completely and go with something that is more of a throwback to the 50's. Try a really vintage kit if you've got one in your library.

Hi Jim,

Bobpouri is correct that the drums are too far in the back in the remix.

I like the short solo slide guitar version, but I wonder if there is too much room (amp) noise? It is most apparent from about 8-10 seconds. Maybe someone else here can tell me if I am being too picky.

BTW, I am very fond of the G&L ASAT Tele. It might be more versatile than any other Tele out there and it's very underrated.

Dan's right about the noise. I battle that all the time myself. I like to think I'm getting somewhat better or tactful or whatever with it (or at least play everything else louder to drown it out  ).

Guys,
yes, that noise floor is always a problem, especially with the lap steel without a volume pedal, which helps the "drive" a little bit. It's cool that you picked up on that, given that it takes a good set of phones, and ears, to hear it. By the time any of this stuff ever gets to TV,if it ever does, it's so squashed and trimmed and over-voiced that who would know? (except us). Anyway, thanks again for your comments and time. They are VERY much appreciated.
Jim
