Taxi/Broadjam deal

After 2 years with Taxi I joined up on their special deal with Broadjam. I joined Sat. night so I can send to listings electronically. Do I need to upgrade one step further to be able to get reviews and other goodies offered? I mainly joined Broadjam for the Taxi stuff but I'm rather confused on how it works and how I send my songs to listings by Taxi. Can someone kind of walk me through the process? And to get a picture up on my homepage, will I need to squeeze my picture way down to the size Broadjam can take? Thanks for the help anyone can give me. I'm still a paper and pen type gal!

Happy, you don't have to upgrade, the Taxi MOB gives you everything. It will take a day or two for your songs to become active. When you upload your songs you go to your song page (click on the little pencil next to 'songs'), you can choose whether or not to "show" the song on your page, and you can also choose whether or not you want it to go in the 'review' cycle. You have to review a few songs to get a review 'credit'. I'd go to the upload photo page (click on the little pencil by 'photo'), they'll tell you the size they want. You'll need to scan your photo to their specifications (they're pretty sticky about that). Then you'll need to set that photo up as default.Okay... to submit, you go to your account page. On the left hand side, you'll see a menu. Down towards the bottom is the Taxi listings button. Click on that. The listings will come up. When you find the listing you want to submit to, you click on its listing number, and your song list will come up. You can tick beside any song you want to submit (if you want to forward bio/photo, that's at the bottom of the song listing). Keep click on listing numbers & choosing songs until you're finished. Then you click on "checkout" and use your credit card to pay for your submissions. Once you've done it a couple of times it's a breeze - much better than the snail mail way I was doing in the beginning!cheersHummin'bird

When you get a review, Taxi will send you an email. To read it, go back to Broadjam, click on the Taxi button on the bottom of the page, click on Previous Submissions. There will be a list of everything you have submitted, their status and reviews. It took me awhile to figure it out but it's really not difficult.

The choices for submitting music boils down to sending in CD's via mail or using the Broadjam service to submit them electronically.I accidentally sent a blank CD one time and the screener said he couldn't listen to my songs from my website, linked via email or any other way other than the two I mentioned above. I had to send another CD even though the songs were just a click away via a link from my email. With the volume of music they deal with, I can easily imagine that "alternatives" outside of the methods that they're set up for could get a little messy.Dave
