Taxi for international songwriters

Post by bithprod » Mon Jan 10, 2011 12:43 pm

Hi there, folks! I''ve searched through the website, but I still haven't found what I'm looking for. ;) Maybe someone could help me out?

I was just wondering about international songwriters and payment. It really seems a hassle with the money orders, air mailing of "cab fares" and so on. Is there someone out there who have been through this who could explain to me how it works, as detailed as possible?

I thought everything was done electronically these days. Logically: Use Paypal for the yearly fee and "cab fares," get codes on email, submit entries by email, etc. What's with the stone-age concepts of air mails and bank transfers?

Thanks!

Hi bithprod, I'm pretty sure you're referring to Taxi specifically about payments, right? If you have a credit card you should be good to go. I'm able to do all the things you mentioned electronically from my member page. Submissions are also done electronically from your member page. Hope that helps!

Hello bithprod,
I agree with hazineju, credit card is the most useful way to go.
Of course there are other payment options, but not only at TAXI,
it "brings" me almost always back to cc choice.

Thanks, guys! So I guess things aren't so backwards after all. So how do you go about submitting demos after you've become a member? Sorry for being such a noob, but I have eleven songs being demoed in Nashville as we speak, and I really want to get a flying start. ;)

Credit card is the way to go. Easy as pie!
When you get a Taxi log-in, you can upload your songs to your Taxi page, and then submit them directly online.
Easy as pie again! Michael seems on the forefront with new technology. An upgraded version of Taxi (Taxi 2.0) is on the way, an though Beta testing now. So, we can look forward to even more pie! No one goes away hungry from Taxi :D

Always nice to meet a familiar face :D

I took the plunge and paid for membership in December. Haven't really had the time to do anything about it, just too much to do at work. Hopefully things will calm down in February. I will send you and email!
