Taxi web uploads in slow-mo??
Anyone else notice over the last day or so (Tuesday, Dec 10-11) that the Taxi site has been moving slow to encode uploaded songs? A couple of songs I uploaded yesterday morning took most of the day to show up, and I uploaded something last night that still isn't listed as playable. (Don't know it if it related but, I looked at Dispatch listings this morning, and the same "MODERN ROCK/POP SONGS" was listed four times, which made me wonder if the person who posted it wasn't seeing it show up online and had re-posted a couple of times.)Just wondering if there is a possible server issue. (It's still light years ahead of the days of postal mail!)

Re: Taxi web uploads in slow-mo??
It was really slow when I tried to upload yesterday (Dec 10), I was trying to submit for a listing with a 12/10 deadline, thankfully I was able to submit that song even though it was not uploaded yet (didn't know you could do that...). One of the points of moving over to taxi hosting from broadjam was to not have to wait for the encoding (or at least not as long as with BJ) so I hope this is a temporary problem and not the way it will work from now on. We're all experiencing the same thing- it started sometime after 6AM eastern yesterday. What time does Taxi's office open? I'll call them in a hour or so to report the problem.

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

They're aware of the issue, and are working to resolve it. As it says above, it only affects accessing them online- you can still upload them, and submit to listings. Taxi screeners can still listen to your tracks.

As long as the screeners can hear them, it's all good. And, as I said, it is still a lot easier and quicker than old-school delivery. Thanks for the input guys.
