Thanks for a great experience...from KeithL

This was my first Rally and not to sound cliche, but words cannot describe the feeling and vibe of this event.

I was so energized after the FIRST panel, I was ready to fly back and start recording! :)

To Michael Laskow:
I hope you take some time, step back, and breath in all that you have done. I don't think we can ever thank you enough for the opportunitues you give us. You are an amazing man.

The first thing I realized when I started to gravitate to the lounge area for the first time:
There were no "competetive" egos, no people "hiding" their secrets of the audio craft. It was one big musical family. Mazz and Chuck (cr7string), took no time and introduced me to all my "musical" brothers and sisters!

The panels were tremendous. I was flattered, when asked to be on the Saturday panel with a group of my peers. To hear their pieces and stories, it was simply awesome. Some times we get so caught up in what we do in our own lives, it's nice to hear what others are doing and the stories behind their passion.

But the best part was the friendships I have made. Never have I laughed so hard and for so long with a group of people! I shared some great meals, conversation, and music throughout the rally and I can definitely say that it is worth EVERY penny.

(and I was amazed we drank the hotel out of New Castle Brown Ale!)

Everybody can learn something at these things. It does not matter if you just picked up Garageband or you are a master at Logic. The panels, the classes, and the people....these three things all give you the opportunity to grow by leaps and bounds.

I'm sure I will have more to add, but just wanted to write something while it all was fresh in my mind.

Whenever I've met a top notch musician in my life, they've always turned out to be very nice people. Keith, after meeting you I can say I'm still batting 1,000! Not only are you a fantastic musician and writer, you are a great guy, a very nice person.

I will enjoy watching your ride to the top.

See you next year I hope!

Cheers!

Keith! These are not the droids you're looking for!

Man, it was so great to meet you. You fit right in with us crazy fools. I am still cracking up about your evil svengali method of figuring out how to differentiate Taeko from Taiko!

I'll be looking forward to your music and posts!

Best,

Cisco

I was even more surprised that we drunk them out of Guinness too. I thought I was the only one

But it was great to meet you in person......As it was meeting everyone else. I'm still buzzing and it's been a couple days since I got back............ See ya next time.

Derek.

It was great to finally meet you, Keith! :D (This is Keith I'm talking to, right? )

I'm insanely jealous of both your musical talent and your ability to differentiate Taeko from Taiko!

And for those of you who remember Keith's earlier avatar, he's slightly better looking in person.

Keith,

I know I already said this, but your rock instrumental gave me goose bumps, nice! Good to meet you after seeing your posts on the forum.

Derek,
I was even more surprised that we drunk them out of Guinness too. I thought I was the only one
Derek.
I guess you were surprised to see some of us other folks like Guinness as well!
