I would really appreciate your feedback on these 2 tracks I'm thinking of submitting.
Do you think they are on target for the listing? Do the strings sound realistic enough?

ORCHESTRAL UNDERSCORE INSTRUMENTAL CUES with Strings and Piano are needed for a $1,000, NON-Exclusive, Direct-to-Director placements in an Independent Feature Film that's distributed by Lionsgate Entertainment. Please send compelling, emotionally moving, Down-to-Mid Tempo Cues that are in the general stylistic range of these references:
"Time Forgotten" by Brian Crain:

"Empty" by SS Productions:

"Sad Romance" by Thao Nguyen Xanh: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eM1iO9PzuzY
Submit authentic-sounding Underscores that are sad and moody, while beginning with a subtle, somber piano melody. Your submission can then build into melancholic strings to help intensify your instrumental's sullen and maybe even ominous vibe. Picture the music that you'd hear in a gloomy scene where something intensely emotional has occurred such as (but not limited to) heartbreak, defeat or despair. Your instrumentation needs to sound indistinguishable from the real thing, with no hint of poor sounding samples or anything that sounds stiff and MIDI-driven. Don't try to score an entire film in your Cues. Instead, just give them one central idea, and stick with it throughout your entire piece. They've likely already scored the film and need some score that would be used in another scene or two, but NOT transitioning across scenes or moods. Submissions should be at least 2 minutes in length. Please send instrumentals with natural endings and no fades. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). Do not copy or rip off the referenced music in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as an overall guide for tempo, texture, and tone.
All submissions must be received. The estimated license fee for this is $1000. This is a Non-Exclusive, Direct-to-Director placement, so you'll keep 100% ownership of your Master and Composition rights (no publishing splits), plus you'll also get 100% of the sync fee and any applicable performance royalties. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than 11:59PM (PST), on Tuesday, December 6th, 2016 TAXI #S161206OH
