After many attempts, this song ended up being just a lot of noise:)

Haste makes waste.

Physcodelic

Once again, I’ve escaped reality
Feel it travel quickly take control of me
Won’t take long there’s so much more I wanna see
Nothing bad can touch me now, I’m floating free

Round and round and round they go again
Beautiful.. shapes appear and colors blend
Slowly spinning here inside my head

Warm and special secret little hiding place
Visual extravaganza my senses race
Left my cares and worries setting by the door
Keep it going maybe I will do some more

Every day, same old way there’s comfort here
Pain is gone, no anxiety I have no fear

Hey Paul,
it needs to be tightened up a bit. It's got a time period vibe for sure. Is that you singing? Pretty cool voice if it's yours. The way some words are pronounced, sounds kinda British at times. Lyrics need some tuning to.
Tighten her up Paul is all.....hey, rhymes

Nice, Paul. Definitely a "for the benefit of mr. kite", "lucy in the sky" type of vibe. Just a couple of suggestions:

The vocal overpowered the band track. Lowering its volume a bit would help the voice blend better. At the same time, the band felt a little constricted. Is there a way you could make it sound richer and bigger, perhaps including working on the stereo spread?

Vocals: You might try processing the voice in different ways - adding some delay, flanging, etc. to enhance the psycedelic aura. Same with the band track -- you could throw in some tape delay effects and other assorted random elements, etc. to add that surreal drugged-out sound that we all miss from the good ol days.

Steve

Yeah, I sang that this morning with a chest infection, thus the rasp. One take jobby.

Trying to make my voice sound drugged up I ended up with a British accent. Par for me :)

Richard

The first four chords are from mr kite:)

I will cut the vox and try some delays etc.

I am not to good at making it sound bigger. Only have a few guitars here.

Back to the studio....hurry hurry

Thanks guys

Paul

Paul
sounds better already! If you renew, submit it and see what happens. I think it has the right vibe, it being a listing for the "good old days" changes the playing field.
You know the screening process, ya just never know what will hit 'em right.
I'll give you my best hopes.

Hey Paul,
This is far from "just noise". Don't rob yourself of the credit!
Get a fresh start on it tomorrow maybe?
