Good Luck Milfus. So I left the house a couple of hours ago, to get something to eat, and ended up getting in an argumentative phone conversation. I kept trying to grab a cigarette. I remembered thinking man I know I have them here somewhere, I must have dropped them, before realizing that I no longer had any. It actually made me sad to think that I didn't have any cigarettes during an argument, at that time. I got over it. But it does HURT, badly. I am physically and mentally exhausted and it's only been 14 hours. On a second note, tomorrow, I'm supposed to be playing a few songs at a local bar. I don't know if I'm going to be able to do that. I haven't felt like playing music all day today. I've been eating and laying on the couch watching TV since I awoke. I've never not wanted to play or write music, but i'm also used to playing, writing, singing, recording, etc., with a cigarette in my mouth. I think I'm gonna try an go to sleep again. I'll keep you all posted when I wake up on how i'm doing.

I'd lay a track down, and afterwards, reward myself with more beer & cigarettes, and then move on to the next track. Now I have to substitute. Quote:I think I'm gonna try an go to sleep again. luckily id never smoke around my equiptment, id have to go take smoke breaks, thats why i keep tellin myself smoke break and standin up, haha, im really trying to focus on orchestration, but its like, yeah and then for the second violin line i should have a cigarette.....thats not right, ok so an 8th and then two 16th and a few quick drags...stop it! and then when the chord changes we should drone and have a transition into the pack i left in the freezer.....OH COME ON

Yeah, I'm having a few tough moments myself, I keep looking to grab the pack and pull one out, and remember there ain't no pack to grab. So I keep grabbin' for LifeSavers instead.

I can totally understand and relate.I'd become so used to my morning routine of waking up, making some tea, writing my morning pages, and then heading into the living room to grab the guitar (and a smoke)... I STILL am having trouble reminding myself that THAT is NOT part of my mornings anymore...Hang on. It's not going to get any easier for the next couple of days. but if you can fight your way through them, it WILL get easier. Keep telling yourself that...It WILL get easier.
