Forum folk,There was an article last week in our local newspaper on the song Granda Got Run Over By A Reindeer, and its author Dr. Elmo.He has made a career out of this song. The article/interview said it had made him a millionaire five times over, a fact which he did not deny. He shares full rights to the song with his ex-wife, so she must have made 5 mil too.Dr. Elmo works like a fiend and appears to really know what he is doing in terms of promotion of his live shows and of course The Song. He gives between 12 and 24 interviews per day to radio, TV, internet and print media. The guy is a maniac and an absolute go-getter whose methods and constant promotion made that $5 million. He got it on local radio the first year and it got a good response. Next year he came back with even stronger local promotion and, yep, The Song took off stronger too.I guess Dr. Elmo knew a golden goose when he saw one, because after that he never let up with the touring and promotion and soon went worldwide in his Christmas sleigh full of money.And such a silly song. Who would have thunk it?
