I've had a few Logic (not computer) crashes because of Trillian. Doesn't happen often, but...yeah, Trillian is a memory pig. But what a great sounding pig! I try to 'print' the bass track early for this reason, but I forget all the time, and rarely crash.

I never thought I'd need more than 16gb of RAM, but I find myself thinking about adding 16 more pretty often now. PLAY/Stormdrum 3 is another super hog - even though it streams from disc.

I know we're talking about PCs here, but the RAM demands are probably comparable...

Thanks Jonny for the feedback. I want at least 16. I got 8 now but later hope to upgrade. also would like to further upgrade to 32 which should be more than enough. yes it is a great sounding pig!

I'm on Mac, but this is what I figured out.

Trilian was crashing for me as well, but now I'm running it through Omnisphere and it works great!

Thanks for that info. How does the Omnisphere work with Trillian? Is Trillian working with my main Cubase sythn Halion? I noticed Halion kept adding some Halion tracks in my DAW. I kept removing them. I was wondering what Halion was doing in my project as I was not using it.

Trilian and Omnisphere need the STEAM engine to run.

Omnisphere loads all the Trilian presets in the sound library.

I think the steam engine came with the software. It's working now. no crashing. had way too much stuff in my pool I wasn't even using so cleared it.
