This tune isn't for any listing, or even for any particular reason except that I wrote it over 20 years ago and only just got around to recording it. Don't you just hate these rush jobs The only reason it got done now was that my old music buddy came over from the UK to visit, and we stayed up late one night so he could put the vocal on it. We used to do it live, and I'd pretty much forgotten all about it.It's still, and probably will remain, a work-in-progress, but with all the nostalgic listings lately, I thought you may be interested in hearing something that was probably past it's sell-by date even when it was new http://www.goldingmultimedia.com/dg/leaving3.mp3

It's a fine line between a thick soup and stew.

Re: Trip down memory lane.
It was indeed a trip down memory lane, for me as a listener also! Some of it reminded me of Peter Skellerns "You're a Lady", probably mostly because that's the only song where I heard the words "Nothing ventured, nothing gained" prior to this, but then there are other similarities in some places...(The comparison is from my part only meant to be positive, I like that song). As I do this! I really enjoyed this tune, it's kind of familiar, yet has some uniqueness, and it has the weirdest vocal sound I've ever heard, and I quite like that it is weird, because I think it works for this song. Perhaps the only thing it needs is some cutting in the low mid.The overall production is also good, though it's kinda jerky, it should benefit from having a bit more flow, perhaps it's because of the drumsound, which is the tracks weakest point IMO. The piano sound could also have more sustain, to make it more fluid. Thanks for sharing this track, I really did enjoy it!
