TuneCore as best choice for a special project?
I am needing feedback on whether TuneCore is my best option (Versus CD Baby or DistroKid) for a single song release? I have read up on CD Baby and TuneCorp thus far. The particulars are: This new song is accompanied by a slide show montage. It is also a fundraising project for Frontline Healthcare Workers. I also plan to upload my Song/Slide montage to my custom YouTube channel, and then through various ways drive traffic to the businesses that TuneCorp (or whichever Distributor I sign with) works with. The song will be available for digital only downloads or streaming. Bottom line, may I get feedback on if TuneCore is my best bet as Distributor for my single song release? P.S. I do not intend to use their publishing services. Many Thanks, N

Thank you Crashgates, I absolutely recall the TAXI advice to be careful about the publishing issue, and not pressing "that" button.

Hi
Regardless of who you use, do not agree to have them be your publishing administrator for your songs. You have the option not to select that. If you give them publishing admin, many music libraries will never sign your song. This is true for exclusive libraries and at least one non-exclusive one many here are familiar with-- a Taxi friendly library that has been "critical" to many people's careers.
Personally, I strongly prefer Distrokid.
Good luck!

Thank you kindly for your response. I truly appreciate it Casey. Still doing my "homework" researching CD Baby, DistroKid and now TuneCore. It's a daunting task.

Thank you WhiteKix: I honestly hadn't heard of symphonic. I sincerely appreciate the link.
