Two forwards in one week

Post by gitanosoy » Wed May 06, 2020 6:55 pm

Hi All...so happy to get another forward, specially back to back. :D

cheers

CONTEMPORARY LATIN POP INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a successful Music Library with International Distribution and a great list of TV, Film, and Commercial placements.

They’re looking for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Instrumentals that fit stylistically with the following references our client gave us:

“1, 2, 3 " by Sofia Reyes ft. Jason Derulo & De La Ghetto

"X (EQUIS)" by Nicky Jam x J. Balvin

“CNCO” by Se Vuelve Loca

Although the references have vocals, this request is for INSTRUMENTALS only.

Please submit well-composed Latin Pop Instrumentals in the general ballpark of the references above. Having contemporary Pop elements with Latin-flavored instruments, rhythms, and grooves should do the trick. Please be sure your virtual instruments and samples sound current and are of high quality.

Your submissions should stick pretty close to 2 minutes long, give or take. Non-Faded endings will work best for this request. Do NOT copy the referenced acts or Songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a guide for tempo, tone and overall vibe. Broadcast quality is needed.

I'm looking at the Cordoba C5 as a beginner but I already have too many toys. :) Right now, I'm trying to create templates using Reaper (DAW), Maschine, and Yamaha MOXF (synth). But a classical guitar would be fun to play since I mainly finger pick my acoustic guitar!

Hi Akira,
For the money you can't go wrong with the Cordoba guitars..I have the GK PRO luthier series with the solid rosewood back and sides which I recorded this song with, sounds good miced or even using the built in pick up inside...I don't actually own a real classical guitar ...also checkout Alhambra guitars made in Spain. My next purchase is a higher end flamenco guitar.

No such thing as "too many toys"..lol :D

Well done!! Best of luck on placements!

For those wanting to transition from steel or electric guitar over to a nylon string guitar (and on a budget) you may want to consider the Cordoba Orchestra CE fusion series guitar. It's a nylon/electric that has a more narrow neck than traditional classical or flamenco guitars... feels a bit more like a steel string. At any rate I bought one last summer and have recorded dozens of tracks with it; many of which have been forwarded by Taxi. It has an internal mic plus internal pickup that you can mix the sound. Anyway, just wanted to share some into.... as this guitar has brought me much joy (and great sounding tracks) since I purchased it. Sending a big virtual hug to everyone during this crazy time!

Thank you Henry, to you too if you submitted...Yes.. they are actually assembled in US, you can't go wrong with the way it is built and perfect intonation straight out of the box which is amazing..I have bought and sold a few in the last 3 years and settled with the GK PRO even though the neck it too narrow for my hands but don't really play traditional flamenco on it, I use my hand made flamenco guitar but each and everyone were had perfect intonation which saves you a few more $$$.....and totally agree with you on the CE fusion series and the amazing pick ups..great feel...the only thing I will warn everyone about buying Cordoba is don't buy from Amazon..they are factory seconds and have seen other players who purchased and something was always wrong with them.

cheers

Thanks Henry and Andre!
One of my main concerns for playing a classical guitar was the wide neck. When I switch between my electric and acoustic guitar, I need to adjust my fingering for the slight difference in neck width. If I purchased a classical guitar, I was expecting to adjust my fingering (again) for the wider neck. I didn't know that Cordoba offered a nylon/electric. This is perfect for someone like me! :)

And thanks again Andre for sharing your post to get us started on this conversation! It all started because you shared your forwards with us!
