Ugh! So frustrating!

I get a Dispatch and it's asking for songs in Hebrew or klezmer music. I've got the perfect song but it's in Aramaic. So close and yet so far....

Hey squids-- That's a bummer. Could you drop out the vocal track? The listing said they'd take instrumentals too. Here's my effort: Joshua's Return http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... stream=1Is it too playful? It's not too complex, but it may be worth submitting.

It just sounds empty without it. I like yours a lot!! I know it seems playful and they might think so too but it does meet the requirements of mid to up tempo as well as sounding authentic. Good job!Technically, klezmer is passionate and it has that too, imho. I think you should give it a shot. What the heck, it meets everything but the screener's individual taste and you can't know that until you submit, right? If you do, let me know. I'd be interested to see how it turns out. Keepin all crossed foi ya, DJ.

Thanks Ladies! I'll roll the dice on this one. Wish I could help with an Aramaic to Hebrew translation, Squids!

Hey squids-- Are you thinking of your Lord's Prayer Aramaic? I really like that track of yours. So I was thinking-- if it sounds empty without all the vocals, what if you took the beginning vox (the free form vocal improv likk) and put a few of those throughout the track instead? That way it wouldn't have "words" as such. Not sure if that would work... but it was an idea I had. Now you probably only have 60 minutes to finish it at this hour of day... Or you could just submit it and hope they don't notice the difference in language... LOL!Good luck!Raags

Hey all y'all, Took your advice and went in tonight to take the vox out. It wasn't terrible, still had the feel, which was surprising. Kept the distorted improv tracks. Thanks much for the suggestion! And the compliment! I had a lot of fun doing that song, fond memories there.
