I submitted two songs to listing #Y110818CO. Forever for Now and Like Crazy. It asked for TRADITIONAL and CONTEMPORARY COUNTRY SONGS.
The tracks I submitted were mixed and mastered by a feller that won a Grammy mixing P!nk's 'Try This' cd.
They both were returned with the critiques "mix could be more even".
As my ex-girlfriend would say " quelle cruche de merde".

Mark,
I think your songs sound great- both the compositions and the mix. Although I am definitely not a sound engineer or a country expert. The guitar on one of them sounds a slight bit muddy, but honestly I can't imagine them not forwarding because of that. Those are some good songs so maybe they will be forwarded for a different listing. It's very frustrating when good tunes don't get forwarded. Maybe the screener had already listened to a hundred songs at that point. Who knows?
Best,
Jenna
